Mat Matthews, Managing Partner

Mat has been involved with remotely operated vehicles and drones for well over 30 years. Having been actively involved with drones for the past 10, Mat has has been using underwater / surface ROV's for the past 2 years.  Activities include underwater imaging / video as well as inspections of various structures and marine craft.  Mat has remained a generalist  with the use of drones and ROVs which has allowed him to be involved in many different industries.  As technology rapidly improves in the remotely operated vehicle industry, Mat consistently applies his knowledge and experience when performing inspection, imaging and video services.

With Mat's knowledge of the available equipment, he is able to work with content experts to deliver data in a safe and timely manner.  This includes underwater inspections, photography / video services as well as bathymetry.

Tom is a retired Electrical Utility Supervisor of 35 years. He loves to fish and always had a passion for radio controls.  Tom has been working with Mat for the past 3 years on various drone related projects and has picked up a great deal knowledge on drone technology and how its applied to modern day industrial situations.

Projects Tom has been involved with include imaging, mapping as well as various video project work using drones.  Incorporating the use of surface / submersible drones will greatly compliment the aerial work Tom has completed.

Anthony is currently completing his first year in Geomatics Engineering Technology at the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology.  Anthony has completed his Small Advanced Remotely Piloted Aircraft System Training and has been assisting Mat and Tom for the past 2 years as an assistant for all drone related activities.  Once complete his program in 2021, Anthony will utilize his GIS training to further enhance the quality and accuracy of all data reporting captured during the HarbourScout XL scanning process.
